Ur-MutterRussian bylinas (traditional heroic poems) and spiritual songs of north continually hold our attention with a secret, like maidens they tease to take off their clothes - the veils of ages, to penetrate their essence. Knowledge, survived in oral folklore keeps the Ancient Gods, carried through christian baptism of fire and sword. Exactly the north of Rus was the place where in a darkness of a half-year long night, under the serpent-like traces of cosmic dawns, under the stars russian soul kept in it's depths the Primordial of aryan world. Ancient Gods under the darkness were coming to their children... the northern bound, where this world is over and the Other world comes from beyond the edge. In Slavonic paganism the image of Mara, Morena, the Dark Goddess of Nav', Death and Winter is naturally covered with a specific attitude. People of ordinary consciousness can never apprehend the lore of ancients, and attempts of today's heathens to deliver this worthy image from all of the dualistic opinions can't help, for they are unconsciously holding such opinions themselves, for they are just trying to renew a tradition, blindly following lacklustre leading-lights of the past, when we have to step forwards and make the Gods show themselves through our souls and contemporary aryan science, which is Jungian psychology. Many bylinas known where the image of Mara is hidden as a beautiful maiden, that can turn into a swan (that says about magic abilities) and thus she is named Marya the White Swan. She lives in other land or city, in some variations of text appears a sea (thus Marya lives on an island) or the town of Chernigow, which is a black space of both earth and marine depths. And so we can make a conclusion this is some kind of inaccessible abode or area, and Mara is the mistress in there. Here went a hero to make her his wife, this is a general motif. We take a White Sea bylina about Potyka as a basis. It has been written down in the end of XIX century by Alexey Markov from illiterate peasant Wlas Chekaliov, who heard it from old coast-dwellers. Here the land, where the hero is going, named neither more nor less but Thule and it's ruler named the king of Thule! Of course, there is a city Tula in Russia, which name, however, according to Wladimir Dal's dictionary means exactly "hidden, inaccessible place", but it is obvious that bylina tells about Ultima Thule, coast-dwellers could know this quite well, snow and ice of North are keeping the knowledge. Hence Marya the White Swan which is Mara could easily be the king's of Thule wife or daugther, and this is exactly what some variations of text tell us. Hyperborean, aryan symbols in russian bylina? But it is known that valkyrias fly in appearance of swans and take these garbs off when they are having a bath. A swan is a bird of Appollo, Njord. The swan knight Loengrin. Shared ancient symbols are on hand! The North is the Pole where all the White archetypes are reuniting! Marya the White Swan and her image is far from being simple, it's understanding and description requires a lot of time and pages, and so there will be propounded only the starting-points for further research and coming into being of Great Ancient Goddess' living image. Almost every variation of the bylina attributes the "serpent" origin to Marya, i.e. Mara, and that can tell a lot to a learned person. For instance Yarl from Rigstula had a snake glance and it is known, how Rig did reward him! Russian tales keep the ancient heathen layers, nothing had swept them from folk's memories. Slavonic analogue of valkyries are the vilas, young nude maidens, riding the horned deers, which bridles and stirrups are snakes! Medusa Gorgona also must be mentioned. The great mystery lies behind it... Valkiries, vilas as warriors companions and wives of the dead. Marya and Medusa bring the threat of death alike. In bylina Marya made the hero swear an oath to follow her into the grave after her death, alive (!) There is a great variety of bylina's outcome, here is it's general line: Marya's murder and hero's wedding with her sister, killing of snakes, Marya's ressurection and their both salvation from death. But regardless the differency in bylina's variants it's essence could be understood as following: This is a description of hero's journey to the depths of race's collective unconscious or to the Nav', sacred abodes of race, which are Other Worlds, where Mara rules - the Great Mother, Ur-Mother, Primogenitor. Here the Mystical Wedding is possible, and this leads to dangerous ordeals on the edge of Death. Death and Love as the edges of the blade, crushing the enemies. Thus, it is common Indo-European Ancient Goddes, the Maiden of the Island, the Maiden of the Spring. She keeps the Grail, may be she herself is the Grail, she is also the keeper of apple garden, as the sources of eternal youth, immortality and god-like knowledge in all the White mythologies including russian tales (young-making apples). There in Thule, Avalon on the top of the hill or a peak of the mountain, in the glass castle lies "neither alive nor dead" King Arthur, the Emperor. Baron Evola, using Dante's visions tells that waters, as the fore-going areas , are the memories, and travelling through them is a initiative transformation, the path to the Heaven, to the metaphysical planes of being. White people still get everything that is essential to trully revive the Ancient Tradition on the newest spirals of reality, to return topical heathen religiousity and to get immortality in revived Ancient Gods. It's necessary to become the heroes of antiquity, to find inspiration in their heroic deeds and to walk their path once again, surpass them, so that every hero could tell the paraphrased Dante's words: "And I shall come out of Sacred Waters, as a revived and renewed Tree, Sonnenmensch, clean and ready to travel to the Stars!"
